is there any thing wrong with your non-standard ones?

yes the fact that they are non standard lol. no there isnt anything wrong with them i think they are working ok. the problem ive got is that i dont really know what the difference in ride quality and handling is between the ones ive got and standard ones, as i havent driven or been in another brm. all i have to compare it to are my other rover 216's. the reason why ive got a problem with the springs being non standard is that i wanted to keep the car totally origional and put back to an as new condition as possible

The original brms were different to the VI and the later 25gti and 160, so I would imagine they are rare.

Warren,
What after market springs do you have, if you know? I may be interested if you are selling, also do they seem to lower the car.

i couldnt tell you what springs they at the moment as i keep the car in my dads garage. i was thinking of contacting the previous owner and asking him if he knew. lol the thing is i asked him if it had been modified in any way and he said no, so maybe it wasnt him that changed them it could have been one of the two owners before him, its had 3 previous owners. as for how low they are i cant say either im afraid because i have had it next to another BRM to compare. i supose i could take a measurement from the ground to a specific point on the car. the car does seem quite low but then again im used to standard 200's
sorry i couldnt answer either of your questions
