saw the bright orange grill behind me in my wing mirror had to slow down to let it past me on the gravesend turnoff on the a2, looked nice and well cared for

lol i know ive only come across them since ive bought mine, hardly saw any before. just right place right time i guess. do you think that would have been a private plate?

it's not a cherished plate, but may not have been the original one on the car?

cherished plates in that format have numbers less than 20

Thats not entirely true I was looking for a new number plate was looking at M44TYM and theres loads of numbers after that too

It can be available for sale but I'm sure back in the day before private plates were popular the dvla only held back the first 20 numbers for direct sales. Rest were alloted to dealers but not necessarily used.

Having stated that, I'm going to check.
