Its all fixed now but something people might want to keep an eye on.

The return to the top of the expansion tank (I'm assuming its an overflow feed) that runs along the bulkhead has a section of rubber tubing that then connects to a section of plastic tubing.
Shortly after finishing driving I was having a good peek under the bonnet and noticed coolant bubbling out from this join. Looks like the clip had lost tension after all these years. There was also some tape around the plastic part for some unknown reason, so that was removed, it was all cleaned up and a shiney jubilee clip put back into place.

No more bubbles or coolant loss from there now, but worth keeping an eye on people :D

I can confirm that those single clips are rubbish, another area to watch out for is the ones that are attached to the power steering reservoir, as these loosen you will find that you lose lots of fluid quickly as I found out:chair:

Yup, mine seeps there too Jon but not too bad at the moment. Got to buy some more jubilee clips before sorting that.

Good bit of info there guys.

We aim to please :D

To be honest all the ZR owners should take note of the problems we have now as it could save them a lot of money in the future. As our cars age more the problems will happen to us BRM and 200 owners first unfortunately. :icecream:

Haven't had any leaks from joins but have had a coolant hose split... All fixed, just shame I can't find any dark green silicone hoses for peace of mind - have to resort to standard items
