Handbrake

I hate it!!!

Just needed to say that

I've had new pads fitted and the handbrake adjusted but it now just doesnt work!!! Unless you pull on it to the point where you are bursting a vein it is utterly useless. The rear calipers did need freeing off slightly and i think the cable(s) may need replacing

Anyone else had similar problems

Thinking off replacing them, are the ZR 160 ones any different??

Is it something to do with the auto adjust mechanisms they have? That's what went wrong with one of mine, the cable went very slack. I just replaced the caliper

Did you over adjust the handbrake...say to 4 notches,it seems to work when theres around 6-7

Could be handbrake part on caliper seized? I had to replace the caliper to get mine to adjust. But worth trying as Alan says to adjust it from inside the car first!
