Steering Wheel & carpet query..

I need a new steering wheel (among other things). Does the red and black steering wheel from the MG match? I've seen some around on the internet - but not in the flesh - is the shade of red the same? It looks a bit more pillar box red on line. And I've seen some people fit the MGF one (with a few mods to the rubber 'T' in the centre) any one tried one out? I like the fact its smaller.

Also on another note - does anyone know where i can get a replacement red carpet - i've seen some at breakers - but they look as duff as mine - so thought i might treat him to a new one.

The MGF wheel fits fine, I've done it and its an effective and simple mod. Same colour too.

Carpet i'm not sure about. I've ditched one I bought cheap as it was beyond repair. Maybe get one made up specially, would cost though.

I am stripping out my BRM (for track use)over the Christmas break. The carpet looks very decent (but I will have a better idea when I get it out). You are more than welcome to have a look and make me an offer for it if you can wait that long.

No rush - the cars been off the road for two years... i can wait a bit longer... he's not going anywhere... ;-)

That's my problem - the carpet was a minter - but faded in the sun when it was parked up...
