BRM Wigan

Hi recently got my second BRM, I bought one new in 1999 and had it a couple years, Iv had about 10 cars since I sold it but none of them I found as much fun to drive as the BRM. So loving having it back. I still see my old one from time to time knocking about....

Iv got a problem with the heater control. When I try and turn it from cold to hot its really stiff. I can hear/feel a clicking from behind the control panel...Any ideas??????

Good to see you've had a BRM in the past and returned to the fold. You'll have to get some pictures of your car up, we love pictures :D

Afraid I'm not too sure on the heater control, I'll have a look at how they're set up when I get them out of mine, will probably be next week.

You have to join the Owen Motoring Club and pay £10 or somesuch to get your build number (booo). Have a look on www.roverbrm.org as there should be some info on there.

I think the problem maybe the heater valve, under the bonnet between the engine and the bulkhead is a valve with the heater hoses on and a cable coming from the heater control. Disconnet the cable and then try the heater control if it moves freely now then the valve is probably seized. You might be able to lubricate it and free it off but it will probably need a new one.

I currently have a new shape Civic which mrs uses a lot, the BRM is my toy
