My mate notested it the other day when he lifted the mat in the passenger foot weld.

The carpet was totaly drenched, i thought it might have been from the snow we had a few days ago. I dryed it and it was ok till i got in the car today, it was raining heavy lastnight, carpet was soaking again...

It only seems to be on the flat of the floor and nowhere else, as if it where coming from underneath, sunroof is fine and dry.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? i'd like to see if i can fix it without having to take the carpet out

if it's not the sunroof (check behind the a-pillar trim), check your coolant levels in case it's the heater matrix.

I'd also have a look at the door seals, that's what it was in my MINI...

I used to sell rovers and the most common leak we came across was in the boot then running under back seat and down onto carpets, check not leaking from rear light clusters and check near hinges for boot door they are prone to corrosion and can let water in. I had a leak on my BRM and it was from the rear window seals. Hope some of this helps!

Cheers for the help guys.

Turns that is was the bottom door rubber seal, someone must have caught it while getting out the car, it wasnt firmly pressed agaist the metal.

I had to wait for heavy snow again before i could find where it was gettin in!
