I have just checked all my fluid levels and found there was hardly any coolant in it
So I topped up and can see a fairly bad leak coming from under pulley wheels near alternator etc
I cant see exactly where its coming from any ideas?????
:please:
If you can find where exactly that'd help diagnose it.
As far as I remember there aren't any coolant pipes down in that area, bottom rad point is on the other side. Unless its coming from the top hose and going down to that area.
If its not the top hose i'd get it to a garage ASAP as that's coming from the block somewhere if its round the pulleys.

waterpump ;)
Could be, but that's round the back of the engine.
Come on Sam, get greasy and find that leak :mml:

It could be the water pump, mine did the same, it leaked from the belt side of the pump down behind the cambelt and left a puddle beneath the bottom pulley, funnily enough it was just after changing the rad and re-filling with exspenive coolant!

I think it was about £30, it was a quinten hazel pump which I dont really like using as they tend to be short lived but as usual time and needing car got in the way, which leads me to another headgasket thread!

It was the water pump, new one fitted and running ok, also whoever had the car before me had a botch job done on when replacing head gasket as the nut that holds the cog on for the cam shaft belt was loose, so the water pump going did me a favour could have ended up losing the whole engine!!!
Thanks for your help
