Do you know how much BRM were sale in Belgium and how much with air conditionning ?
Do you go often on track with your BRM?

there were 45 sold (some say 50) in Belgium (I know there are almost half of them that are totalled)
I'm on track every day, but it's the first time I go on circuit

Anyone know how to register a Rover BRM in France ?
I've often seen one near Sommieres, Gard and have now made contact with the owner.
It belongs to a lady living down here. She tells me that it is UK taxed, MOT'd and insured at high cost because she doesn't know how to register it here.
She needs to get an EU certificate of conformity from the French Rover importer ........... who of course has gone bust. Who can issue that now ?

is it LHD or RHD?

RHD, UK registered, UK spec, unmodified.

I think that will be the problem. If she had a LHD she just had to go to those who register cars from other country's. But with a RHD you have to make some changes (like the headlamps) to make it suitable for the road, and that's why they need a new form of conformity, to be sure that the constructor has made the car suitable for the french roads

I think it is recent enough to get a partial certificate of conformity leaving the headlamps to be changed and confirmed by a local CT (MoT) centre.
Problem is who can issue the CoC as Rover has gone bust ?

I've found out a little more, so I'll post it for the benefit of others.
http://www.mgrccservices.com are now responsible for issuing CoC's for Rover products.
However, their website states :
FRANCE
If you are exporting a vehicle manufactured before 1st January 1998 to France a Type Approval Certificate will not be accepted. Please contact A.B.P. for further information. Telephone Number 0033 (0)1 34 73 48 02
I've passed the number over to the owner.

In Belgium it is the governement that handles over the CoC's now
