After the show tomorrow the old girls going off to TDR Restorations for some much needed loving. Having the clutch replaced with a Black Diamond replacement, new EBC discs and Greenstuff pads. After all that my nasty cam gasket leak is getting sorted with new a gasket, also replacing the water pump and belts as she's just hit 60k.

Lots of work and will probably be gone for a week, but should be wonderful when she comes back! :D

Word of advice, if you ever get this work done, get it done by someone friendly that wont charge the earth. My cars 9 years old now and this is its first clutch change, talk about hassle!!

There's been so many things that wont come off, etc, if I was paying for labour it would've cost me a small fortune. :slap:

I'm starting to believe that now!

Drive shaft seals were pretty much welded in so couldn't take them out (even after some serious abuse) so the driveshafts themselves had to come out. Not the preferred way of doing it, as if the needle rollers came out it'd be b*ggered. Worked alright in the end though.

Clutch is in and funky now, got a few more bits happening, waiting on exhaust gaskets from Janspeed but we should finish up tomorrow.

Removing the shaft from the inner CV joint isn't that bad, the needles rollers are pretty secure, if they do fall out then the knuckle joint at the end is pretty shagged anyhow.

I have removed mine a few times, as this is the part that failed when I first got the car done.

Well they've all come apart now, managed to get the oil seals completely out after a bit of punishment. Only need the circlips which should be arriving tomorrow and the whole lots going back together! :D

Is this the right way round for EBC grooved discs? :slap:

Looks good Adam, and you were right the discs on the first pic are not the way they are suppose to be fitted.

Yeah, i did look at the box and thought oops!

She's still having a few teething problems, unknown noises being the worst, so still needs some fine tuning I reckon.
