I didn't introduce myself, too busy thinking "I want..." My name is Sue, I am an old bird (54)! The BRM was first bought as new by my sister-in-law from Marshalls in Cambs as a second car, hence the low mileage. She sold it on to my son who was in the navy based in Portsmouth, in the short time he had it, he clocked up some miles travelling from here (Cheshire/Welsh border), so I took it off him and I use it as my main mode of transport, I do get a lot of odd looks from passers by, I hope everyone else does too. There is another BRM not 2 miles from me in the next village but I don't know the owner and I have seen one for sale in Wrexham where I take mine for service. My main reason for wanting to sell is that I have a bit of trouble getting out of it when parked alongside other cars in Sainsburys! Sounds kinda feeble I know:)
No need for apologies Sue and welcome to the site!
The odd looks I just put down to people jealous of not having some orange on their car ;)

So the wallace and grommet references I get aren't original ? !
Wallace and Grommit are new to me
I usually get things along the lines of "couldn't decide what colour to paint it", etc.
that's weird, I don't get any of those comments?!?

Sue, I think I'm the owner in the next village !
I used to live in Gresford, but now I live in Pandy.
I've seen the BRM for sale in Llay also, as my mate was workshop manager there for a couple of months recently (Andy Brooke who used to run Brooke Saaab in Rossett).
If you ever need any help with the BRM, let me know, as I'm only a couple of mins down the road.
Kind regards,
Andy

Thanks Andy, I wondered what happened to Brooke Saab as I used to be a devotee of saabs but only the old ones and they became too expensive to maintain. The brm in Llay isn't in as good a condition as mine, I did look at it. Unfortunately Pandy isn't my next village, I am nearer to Bangor-on-Dee, but you are still close enough that I might take you up on your offer if I need it.

My favorite is 'why did you paint the grille THAT colour'
Ive taken to carrying the Rover Brochure in the car now!
I think rover should be aplauded really for having the stones to put this car out in the first place VW etc would have painted everything the same colour and gone for black or grey Interior! very exciting!
Rover had their troubles but they did try, and MG versions later also showed some imagination.
