May sound like a stupid question but what's the difference between the two types?

Type 'a' is the older/earlier version.
Type 'b' is the better & stronger of the two.

My Audi Quattro has the type C but it seems to sap the power a lot more than the one in the BRM. The Audi has ESP as well which always seems to b on whereas the BRM just uses the diff and it's much more effective.

It's an A4 2.0 Turbo S line Special Edition (long winded I know). It's my day to day car as the BRM is for the track. To be honest it's the first Audi i've had and I am well impressed with it it handles great in the wet or dry and is a fair bit quicker then the BRM. Need something I can use every day that won't break down so Audi was the best option to be honest.
Off topic I know.
