Just a quick check to see how difficult the conversion to a T16 turbo engine is. With the prices of used 620ti's it's a good time to get a cheap engine and 620 ti calipers etc.
Is the engine compatible with the BRM gearbox?
Anyone got any rough performance figures using a standard T16 and the BRM box (if possible).
Thanks
Steve

I think a 220 turbo is a better donar using the subframes from that rather than a 620ti. Also the calipers from a 620ti need fettling to fit a R200.

Could never bring myself to put an engine that old in my car. Only way I would, would be if it had a complete strip down, refurb and rebuild but that's just silly money.
Every single T-series conversion i've seen has had problems.

I'm going to bump the tread up.After burying his mother nine months earlier, a client of the local mortuary finally had enough money to purchase the expensive coffin he'd originally wanted. So we exhumed the body and transferred his deceased mother into the new steel casket. "What's so special about this coffin?" I asked the funeral director. He replied, "It has a lifetime warranty."------------The WOW gold Online Store, Open 24/7 Looking to buy wow gold (http://www.u4game.com), Items or Accounts? You would find the cheapest gold here. The ca to use for the conversion is the 220 turbo coupe. The ti engine you will have to change vertain mounts/brackets around due to the layout.
The conversion are apparantly (never completeted one myself only helped) quite easy considering the changes. The most difficult part being some of the power steering pipes and the loom BUT there are some very knowledgeable chaps on rovertech.net who can help/supply parts etc..
