Very nice mate! I like the dish on the wheels, very euro.
Do the 160 injectors and the boost valve make much of a difference?

the boost valve and 160 injectors are a good mod. It feels quicker. but the boost valve needs some finetuning.
and yes, the dog is licking something, but not hereself.
May well have to look into some of those injectors!

would like to go on the dyno again
if results are good, I'll keep it that way for a while, if it's bad, I take the engine out and revise the whole load and put some other pistons in and stuff like that.

I sold the 17", so back on the original rims, with fresh rubber
SP 9000 at the back and SP sportmaxx in front
I also bought a ZR 160 front brake setup and 4 macphersons from the same zr. I hope on a brake and handling improvement
Interesting, let us know how they go on the BRM!

I'll keep you informed
what brake fluid is the best to use?
I've always used what it says in the manual, cant remember exactly what it is off the top of my head.

saturday I pick up the stuff and place the dampers
Good man. I hope the old ones are easy to get off, I had some major difficulties when I changed the springs on mine as one of the bolts had seized on!

I placed them today
but no time over to make a good test. But there's a first impression. I think the ZR160 McPh. are smoother. It's still a bouncing ride. but compare it with a basketball vs a curl. and yes, the brm is the basketbal. The zr dampers make it a smoother ride, they deal better with bumps. But I have to see what they do in the handling section.
for the brakes: have to wait, the brake pedal feels like a sponge. I tried to take the air out of the brakes myself (don't know the verb in english, in dutch it's called "ontluchten" so I think it has to be something like un-air) but that's not that easy. So I think their is still some air in the brakehoses. But, but, but, at the end of the pedal there is a part where it does brake pretty good, so I think if the system is ok, they will brake a lot better then the standard brakes.
anyway, it's a dirty job to do, I'm glad they are under the car.
Keep us informed on the handling mate.
Letting air out of the brake system is called "bleeding" in english, its best to do it with 2 people, one to keep an eye on the fluid and the other pumping the pedal, etc.

bleeding, like I give you a punch on the nose ;)
It's best to do with a machine that automatic refill the system and puts it under pressure while bleeding the brakes.
But I hear from others who did it that it's normal. you have to push the pedal deep, but once it's there it brakes better then standard
Tomorrow I can give it a try on my way to work. there are some sharp corners where I did 120km/h with the brm McPh. Gonna try to do better then.

I gave it a try and... yes, it's an improvement. in any way
just have to relearn the car a bit and find out how far I can go. the reactions are a bit different, nut much.
Sounds like a good option then mate, I'm still waiting on my coilovers, grr!

Only place I know that do a carbon fibre one is Banshee...........

Pricey, but looks very good! Comes with the small lip extension too.

Yikes £300 but It does look nice. I wonder if you get the clear light or the normal red one.
Frekkel
05-24-2007, 04:39 PM
hmm, thats 450€
I ,paid less than half for a regular zr spoiler
Well I paid £80 for a normal ZR spoiler with clear brake light, and then about £100 for spraying/laquering, etc. Quality job though!

I replaced the pipercross viper with... a new pipercross viper
What happened to the old one?
Frekkel
12-01-2007, 04:16 PM
been to the RR this afternoon
result: 136.3 @ the wheels, so let us say 157 bhp
to answer your question: the old viper his foam was burned caused bij a backfire from the old lpg installation
Good results mate, well done!
Frekkel
12-01-2007, 06:14 PM
no not really, there was an mgf vvc with 174 @ the wheels
he had a dva job done
I think that the 127.000 km also are a fact of power loss, and even more because there have been 70.000 lpg km. so what's the condition of the valves etc...
and apart from that. a viper (400€), janspeed catback(540€), catdecat(5€), pbv(80€), 52mm TB (140€) and zr 160 injectors (50€) for a gain of "only" 14 bhp... that's over 1200€
Is the car faster now?? I could have sold the whole interior and buy 2 sparco raceseats. and for my 1200€ I could have bought some leda's or kw's and a strut brace. then some light weight wheels and I would have a car that drives better and is faster
What the hell had the MGF done to get 174 at the wheels??
You've got to bear in mind though Frekkel that the K is an expensive engine to tune, plus your car is a lot more rare than an MGF ;)
With my full Janspeed system with sports cat, 52mm TB and viper I saw 127 at the wheels, so i think your figures pretty good myself.

Use the [img] tags instead of the [/url] ones ;)
Frekkel
01-06-2008, 02:09 PM
but I don't see those options, just like I can't see a list with smilies.
Really?
Your photos are on a photobucket account though so there should be 3 options below each photo. One comes ready supplied with the [img] tags?
Frekkel
01-06-2008, 08:31 PM
true but on the other 38 forums I'm a member of I see a whole list of options to post pictures or urls and a list of smilies. here I only see an oportunity to post a poll and to upload 5 pictures or so. but I don'tcomplain é.
but if I'll post a smilie I have to write : ) or ; ) to get :) or ;)

Frekkel
09-13-2008, 05:00 PM

Frekkel
12-03-2008, 07:01 PM
with a bit off pain in the heart I must tell that the BRM is sold. within 2 weeks she will go to her new owner. I think he will take good care off her, if it was some kind of ass**** I wouldn't sell her to him.
It were 4 great years!
Well its a shame to see her go.
I hope you told the new owner about the site :D
Frekkel
12-04-2008, 06:28 PM
I'm planning to do that ;)
So she still stay's in the family
Frekkel
12-13-2008, 03:41 PM
she's gone
It's a bit strange after 4 years
