Timing belt has slipped confirmed for def.

Retimed and new belt on.. we still have the dreaded clattering noise.

Removed head to find 3 valves broken and scored pistons..

what to do...

I haven't really got a huge lump of cash to chuck at it and don't want to buy a 1.4 and swap my bits over..

so what do we think i should do, yes she is my daily driver and i have downgraded from a 620Ti so i have seen the high power and the fuel..

search like made dude for replacemnt engine maybe fit the 160 lump in does it work? not sure but there are sometimes vvc lumps on for few hundred nickers.

I have a complete engine for sale, if you don't mind to come over to belgium

Not sure where you are looking mate - all seem to be £600 - £800.

The Zr engine will fit but will need a lot of work on the loom as MEMS3

And tbh i refuse to spend £650 on something i can't even hear running..

And BRM 74 is for sale on the bay for ... £900

just looking on flea bay last wek there was one for 250 guess time is not on your side but wait and look on there or ring scrappy after scrapy.

Hmm - v interesting - nt seen anything below £650.00 - popular with Kit owners so they put the cash up on them..

guess so mate its always shit looking for sokmething as when you dont need it there loads going cheap when your desperate they dissappear
