key fob faliure

i wanted to pik up a maky d and when i reached the car the key fob was dead so i changed the battery and done the holding of the 2 buttons trick and didnt work....so opened the door using the key and it was totally immobalisede and the alarm wouldnt work but the immobaliser was making a noise ....wat do i do help please

found the code to de activate alarm but haw do you getit on again

this happened to me.

Try rubbing the battery and cleaning the connector. then try the lock button 5 - 6 times.

I went down to the local (ex)rover dealer and they helped me out alot.
