I think it could be HGF, It is still running but i'm not taking it far until I can get hold of my mech.
Does anyone know how much it could cost ?????

Please block your ears while I scream AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

PS It has done 61000 so it aint done bad

around £400 if it is HGF. However, check the sump. It could well just be condensation from short journeys...

Just had the mech round and he has confirmed it's the begining of HGF

It will be going into the workshop on monday for a week where he will strip it down and send the head away for pressure testing and he will fit a new triple layer head gasget.
all for around £450. The nice thing is, is that he was a Lotus engineer and he loves the car so much so he wanted to buy it

Not a bad price, but as the reaper said i'd get the water pump and belts all done too while its apart.

The water pump was new last year so does it still have to be done but he said that he is going to change the cam belt as a matter of course

I'd say water pump would be ok then being only a year old. Glad your getting the belts done though matey.

Yep, although you'd need the 160 ecu too.
