Hi Guys

If your wondering what happened, i was having a couple of problems with my drivers side window, i was doing it up one day when it made an incredibly loud POP!!
Thought it was the glass comin out of the carriage but it turns out after taking the door card off that the window motor has ripped its mounting bolts clean through the sheet metal of the door!!!

So err, think im in for a new door lol, if any1 is selling or breaking then please let me no - summers comin and i kinda want a working window!!
P.s. I'll have a drivers door card too :D

Bloody hell!!

Something must've got caught up inside for that to happen. Never heard of it before on any R200/R25/ZR though.

if you manage to free the mech up inside try using a big metal washer to compensate for the the cream crackered metal...saves you fitting a new door!!

That should be fixable, maybe even be able to weld plate over to fully strengthen it up.

As to the cause something has put the motor under stress at some point.

cheers guys, all options i was thinking of - will have to see, patching in a new piece wouldnt compromise the door structurally would it?

Nah, you could patch that no problems! Just make sure nothing gets in the way of the mechanism.

it's a window stop.. they were an issue on mgf's they kept popping etc, etc..

Nothing too much to worry about - like you say.

All Fixed!!! But the sun seems to have dissapeared lol!! The mechanism was totally ruined so i had to dash to MG-Rover in crayford for a new 1 - coz the breakers didnt have any! The wallet still hurts people!! :cry:
