ello lads, bought my brm 2 weeks ago 30,000, mg throttle, brake pads, air inducter, cd and alloys. Got it for 2 grand (there abouts). Love the motor. v tidy bodywork perfect. Only concern is HG cos it hasnt been changed in the S.H no symptoms as of yet but...
you can't really predict it going... mine went at 74k I think, others have gone at 40 or lower. It's a lottery ;)

roll up, roll up! place ur bets - i think the recommended replacment mileage is bout 60k??
Ola, welcome to the site
My original BRM had the HG go at around 30k, then again at around 70k. But I've fixed it properly myself this time :D
THe other BRM had gone at about 65k, so as Dom says it is a lottery.

Mine went at 31,000. Fixed a year ago and no problems since.

Could always uprate to the new gasket if you have the money or time? I put the later uprated one on mine and set me back around £400, but for peace of mind certainly avoids the hassle of warped heads and liners going.
Mine went at 64k..
It's not too bad a job to do yourself, if your confdent and have the right tools its something that can be done over the weekend, beats paying £400 for a garage to do it!
