Alarm fob

    Is there anything special I have to do to change the battery or Just open it Andrew change it ?.

    If the current battery isn't completely flat you should just get away with a straight swap.

    If it's flat you may have to resynchronise the fob.

    The sync procedure is something like unlock drivers door with key then press lock button multiple times on fob until car locks.

    Thanks for the quick reply I have one with a low battery and one from another car which I would like to program to the car when you say press multiple times how many is multiple times?.

    Regarding programming old fob to your car you are aware you will need dedicated software for this, in form of T300+, T4 session or software from a friendly member near you?

    Interesting note on the fingerprint affecting battery life. I've heard this before, but never looked into why!

    That is easy to explain. Fingerprint will leave layer of oil/dirt/something else onto flat battery surface. This layer presents resistance into current flow, and this takes more current out from the battery. Inevitably shortens life of the battery.
