Giving the brakes a service today, done very little on 256 apart from change the oil since it refurb all those years ago, plan on taxing it this month, looking forward to getting to gaydon and I might go to that Lincolnshire one at the start of July.
Yes that's the one, if it's a nice day will fit it in with a run to Skegness for some chips, you going?
We usually do,but Skeggy is a long way to go for fish n chips. Mablethorpe or Sutton-on-sea are better options that are nearer with better chippies, especially Mablethorpe.
To be fair mablethorpe is nice, better for parking also. Just need a bank loan to buy the fish and chips now
Went for the MOT today, slight issue with the emission at first but holding it at 3k for a few minutes sorted that problem out, an understanding tester certainly helps.
256 is now away for winter, will be changing oil hopefully next week but apart from that I don't think it really requires much, I am sure the two brm have much to talk about.
After paying the road tax, it was rude not to take her for a spin in Derbyshire, nice little 80 miles, thinking of going to the coast tomorrow aswell. She certainly out of hibernation now.
Before heading out and using 256 as my summer daily I put the better battery on her, upon switching battery over I noticed the earth lead that goes to the front slam panel was looking rather worse for wear, so pinched 305 one (nice when you have a spare) and have made a new one up for 305, slightly thicker grade of wire but it will do the job nicely. I have also had solder the ends on instead of crimping due to my Crimper not being man enough.
